Incentive Action at Paris Observatory: Astrophysique des processus de Hautes Énergies

The API-AHE have one or two calls per year
 

  1. Financial Support:

    • Funding for collaborative projects, working meetings, and assistance with observation requests.

  2. Scientific Animation:

    • Monthly seminars featuring both API-AHE members and guest speakers.

    • Monthly journal club for young researchers.

    • Regular workshops facilitating collaboration among teams with similar methodologies.

  3. Educational Initiatives:

    • Organization of schools, training workshops, and support for educational and public projects.

    • Workshops on the use of tools and codes developed by API teams, including GammaPy for multi-wavelength data analysis and magneto-hydrodynamic codes for high-energy phenomena modeling.

    • Development of educational projects, such as utilizing the pGCT astronomy Cherenkov prototype.

  4. Interdisciplinary Projects and Support:

    • Funding for common internships, particularly those spanning two teams and involving cross-disciplinary topics.

    • Support for projects combining astrometry and AGN jet physics, observations, and modeling of pulsars, and astrophysics laboratory experiments.

    • Assistance with missions and desktop computing equipment (up to 15% of the total budget).
